Agenda

18:00 – Doors open and networking

18:30 – “Building a data driven ELT using Azure Data Factory” with Dave Morrison

In this session we’ll go from zero to a fully working ADF v2 data driven ELT process. We’ll look at dynamic task properties and how to set these to get the most out of ADF v2.

We’ll focus on moving from SQL Server to SQL Server but the principles can be expanded to move between a variety of data sources.

Using lots of demos and examples, attendees will leave with a good foundation and enough understanding to go and build their own flavour of a data driven ELT process in ADF v2.

19:30 – Pizza and networking

20:00 – “Introducing Microsoft Cognitive Services” by Christina Leo

The drive to build systems that can increasingly hear, see, speak, understand, and even begin to reason is real, and with Microsoft Cognitive Services APIs, adding this functionality is easier than ever.

In this session, we’ll look at the different options within the cognitive services suite, we’ll show you how to connect to the APIs using Python code, and we’ll build and train a custom speech to text translation model.

21:00 – Doors close
