I am Commercial Director and co-founder at Coeo, a Microsoft Certified Master for SQL Server and Data Platform MVP. I have co-authored three books on SQL Server and I regularly present at industry and community events. At Coeo we help customers get more from their data and their investment in the Microsoft platform, and my role involves helping our customers with strategic technology choices and roadmap. I work with our customers to ensure we provide expertise to reduce risk and accelerate project delivery and ensure true business value is realised early and maximised through operational capability. I live in London with my wife where we enjoy long river walks, I love travelling and sailing on the south coast of England and in warmer climates too.

Mark has over 16 years of experience leading high performing analytic teams at Edenbrook, Hitachi Consulting and Hitachi Vantara, most recently as the Vice President of Analytics for Hitachi Vantara in EMEA where he was responsible for the profitability and growth of a multimillion-dollar business.

I am the Sales and Marketing Director at Coeo, a Microsoft Gold Partner providing consulting and managed services for Microsoft data platform and analytics technologies. I have extensive experience within the software industry, and before joining Coeo had 15 years’ experience working as a programmer, system architect, head of technology and consultant. I am also a Microsoft Certified Master for SQL Server and regularly present at industry and community events.

I manage the Dedicated Support Team at Coeo, and I have been working with SQL Server for over twenty years in a variety of roles including developer, DBA, consultant, trainer, and technical manager. I joined Coeo five years ago as a Principal Database Administrator, and now my focus is on building the support team and delivering world-class service to our customers.

I’m the Dedicated Support Commercial Lead at Coeo.

Having moved from Sardinia to London in 2011, I joined Coeo as Data Platform Engineer in 2016 after a couple of years working in the database development field. I am a Microsoft Certified Solution Expert in data management and analytics with experience across the whole SQL Server on-premises platform. I also hold an Azure Administrator certification and I am very interested in the latest Azure technologies. Outside work I love travelling with my wife; our last adventure was a 3 weeks’ road trip in the US West coast. I also enjoy video games, TV shows and sport.

I’m an Internal Solution Specialist covering a variety of sectors including Construction, Manufacturing and Utilities. I engage with existing and potential new customers to help them to plan or achieve their technology roadmap by working through their requirements. Part of my responsibility is to make our customers aware of Coeo events, which I also enjoy attending. These have proven to be a successful way to build relationships and a chance for Coeo experts to share their industry knowledge. Outside of work I enjoy photography, live music events and US road trips.

Bhavisha is a Data Platform Specialist in our Dedicated Support team.

Matt is a Data Platform Engineer in Coeo’s Dedicated Support team.

As a Cloud, Data & AI Architect for Coeo’s finance customers, I provide strategic and technical guidance to our customers helping them identify solutions to their requirements. I have over eight years’ experience working with the Microsoft BI stack and have delivered guidance ranging from traditional on-premises BI solutions through to using the latest technologies offered in the Microsoft Azure.

I am a principal consultant at Microsoft Gold Partner Coeo. My passion is helping customers profit from their data using the Azure cloud platform, SQL Server and Power BI.

Since 2001 I have been a Consultant, SQL Server DBA, Developer and Business Intelligence professional and am a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Data Management and Analytics and hold the Microsoft Professional Program in Data Science. Presenting at data community events and blogging about data and analytics are also activities I much enjoy.

My home is North Wales, where I live with my wife and three children. In addition to family and data, my passion is marathon running.

Reece is Customer Success Manager at Coeo.

I am a Support Practice Team Lead working in the Dedicated Support team at Coeo. I have over 17 years’ experience of SQL Server and related data platform technologies, across a wide variety of business sectors including Finance, Retail and Hospitality.

I am very much a family man and most of my spare time is spent with my wife and two young daughters, but when I get the chance I also enjoy playing football and golf.

Scott is a Data Platform Specialist in Coeo’s Dedicated Support team.

I am a Principal Project Manager at Coeo. I have worked in the IT sector for 20 years, primarily within the infrastructure space and more recently delivering cloud projects which is how I came to join Coeo. I am a Prince 2 certified practitioner and participate at events in both a commercial and technical capacity.

Paula is a Data Platform Specialist in Coeo’s Dedicated Support team.

In 2018, I joined Coeo as a Database Administrator in the Dedicated Support team. I enjoy the variety of challenges that we face each day and the learning opportunities that this provides. In my free time I enjoy travelling, football and keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies.

As a Software Architect at Coeo, I’m responsible for building out and supporting our internal software capabilities, including our customer portal. I’ve been a full stack developer for over 20 years, and been building software hosted in Azure since 2014, currently holding the Azure Developer Associate certification. Times are quickly changing in and I’m currently enjoying leveraging the power of Docker and Kubernetes to build software.

As the BI Development Manager at Coeo, I am responsible for the delivery of Business Intelligence (BI) engagements to customers, managing a team of BI developers and BI consultants. I specialise in the Microsoft BI stack, both on-premises and in Azure helping organisations meet their business intelligence requirements.

James is a Principal Client Manager at Coeo, specialising in financial organisations.

Being one of the Data Platform Engineers in the Dedicated Support team, I collaborate with our customers to provide technical support and help maintain and improve their existing environment.

I’ve now been at Coeo since 2016 and have already been exposed to a plethora of different of estates across a range of business sectors. Outside of work, I spend as much time as I can out in the countryside hiking, kayaking and going on “adventures”.

I am an Enterprise Data Architect and been a Microsoft Data Platform MVP since 2018. I recently completed a part time PhD which was A Study into Best Practices and Procedures in the Management of Database Systems for which I received the AOUG Will Swann Award for Innovation and Knowledge Development. I am passionate about the need for industry and research to work together to instigate change. I am an honorary visiting fellow with the Open University and Fellow of the British Computer Society. I have 20 years’ experience in the Microsoft Data Platform and spent several years working on a Hortonworks (Cloudera) Big Data platform. I believe setting a data strategy with defined data governance as core elements will enable AI for actionable insights. I am community focused, running and helping run several conference in the UK, SQLBits, Data Relay and Data Toboggan. In addition to that I enjoy playing trombone.
