Microsoft Fabric Analyst in a Day – Software Vendors

20th January, 9:00 AM
2 Kingdom Street, Paddington, London

This event is organised by Microsoft and delivered by Coeo. To register please visit the registration page.

Microsoft Fabric is an end-to-end analytics platform that brings together all the data and analytics tools that your organisation needs to go from the data lake to the user. Fabric integrates technologies like Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Power BI into a single unified product, empowering data and business professionals alike to make the most of their data and lay the foundation for integrated AI projects.

This free one day workshop covers the capabilities of Microsoft Fabric. Fabric Analyst in a Day is an intermediate-level training designed for ISV and Digital Native teams with experience in Power BI, but new to Microsoft Fabric. This hands on session aims to help you understand how to consolidate your data into a single source of truth where you can analyse your data and generate meaningful insights. Data Analysts will go through the end-to-end analytics solution from ingesting data to building reports with automatic refresh. If you’re evaluating Fabric’s ability to meet organisational requirements around data unification, visualisation, and analysis or want to learn how it can help optimise your work to create high-value impact, this is the workshop for you.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to:

Map Fabric to real software business needs

  • Identify where Fabric can reduce complexity across your analytics stack.

  • Understand how Fabric supports scenarios common in software organisations—such as usage analytics, subscription and billing data consolidation, or release and support reporting.

Improve delivery speed and productivity

  • Use a single integrated platform to replace manual handoffs between engineering, data, and reporting teams.

  • Streamline data ingestion, transformation, and reporting workflows without maintaining multiple services.

Unify and transform cloud-scale data

  • Bring together product telemetry, application logs, customer data, and operational metrics using Shortcuts, Dataflows Gen2, and Pipelines.

  • Create dependable, scalable data models that can support embedded analytics or machine learning initiatives.

Build clear, actionable reporting

  • Develop Power BI reports that help product managers, engineering leaders, and commercial teams make informed decisions based on near-real-time data.
