Chat with your Data in a Day

24th March, 9:00 AM
Virtual

This event is organised by Microsoft and delivered by Coeo. To register please visit the registration page.

Power BI’s new Chat with Your Data experience changes how people interact with data. Instead of navigating reports or dashboards, users can ask questions in plain language and get immediate, reliable answers.

But this only works well if the underlying models are built for it.

To help teams prepare, we’re running a free, one-day, hands-on workshop, designed for Power BI Data Analysts and Developers who already have experience building models and want to make them ready for Copilot and conversational querying.

With Copilot in Power BI, business users can query data using natural language, without needing to understand report structures or data models. The responsibility shifts to the model, clarity, structure, and context matter more than ever.

This workshop focuses on how to design and optimise Power BI models so Copilot can return accurate, trustworthy answers.

By the end of the day, you’ll be able to:

  • Enable business users to ask questions in natural language with confidence

  • Reduce time spent navigating reports to find answers

  • Support faster decision-making with immediate, model-driven responses

What you’ll learn:

  • How to prepare and optimise Power BI models for Copilot and conversational querying

  • Practical techniques for testing, refining, and validating models

  • How to guide Copilot’s responses using context, metadata, and clear model design

  • How Fabric Data Agents can be used to provide curated responses from Fabric and external data sources

You’ll also get an overview of where Copilot in Power BI is heading, hands-on experience with the new full-screen Copilot interface, and practical guidance you can apply to both existing and new models.
